Academic Brief

• I work as postdoctoral researcher in the psychology department at Macquarie University. My research focuses on music psychology and emotion
• I'm in the final stages of my Ph.D. over at The University of Queensland and Queensland University of Technology in the areas of computer science and music psychology.
• My Ph.D. focuses on using computer to influence the emotions of music. You can read more about that here.
• From 2000 - 2003 I undertook my second undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Information Technology (hons I), majoring in computer networks and securities.
• From 1998 to 2000 I undertook my first undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Science majoring in physics.

Personal

• I enjoy a wide variety of interests, much of which focus around the arts
• I am a classical pianist, and enjoy works ranging from the baroque to modern era
• I composed for a brief period. You can find some of my recorded compositions here.
• I enjoy keeping fit and eating well. I play a number of sports, one of which is Parkour
• I am a monthly donor to Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders), and I urge you to be as well.
